15:09 campaign reveals 15 minutes and 9 seconds of movement is all it takes to help uplift the mind
This week, ASICS and Pitch Marketing Group launched the ASICS 15:09 Challenge – an integrated digital campaign featuring Michelle Visage to help motivate Brits in need of a mental uplift to get out and move.
Research by ASICS shows that 15 minutes and 9 seconds of exercise can be all it takes to help uplift the mind. It also revealed that Gen-Z are the most in need of a mental uplift but exercise the least of any generation due to being time-poor.
When the research went on to discover that Gen-Z spend up to 102 minutes a day on needless tasks, ASICS and Pitch Marketing Group recruited Michelle Visage to create a rousing public service announcement to offer advice and motivate Gen-Z and the nation to find the time to move this June.
Gary Raucher, Executive Vice President, ASICS EMEA said: “At ASICS, we’ve always believed in the power of exercise to uplift the mind. Our latest research shows that even small amounts of exercise can have a big impact on how we feel. So, this June, we’re calling on everyone to move and to help lift spirits and raise valuable funds for mental health charity Mind.”
To take part in the 15:09 Uplift Challenge, people simply need to move for at least 15:09 minutes to help uplift their mind and capture a video or image. Every video or image posted to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with #ASICS1509 during the month of June will raise funds for mental health charity Mind.
